I REALLY enjoyed book four, it as fast pacing and the story line is getting REALLY intense! In this book Val and friends have arrived in 1645, which most British Historians will know was a bad time for witches as our Lord Protector Oliver Cromwell rules the lands! But Cromwell isn’t the main problem, as Val discovers, and that’s not the only problem she’s got to over come: Not only is the past in danger from being rewritten, but so is the future! I REALLY can’t wait for the next book, I need to know that my favourite character is going to be OK! I need to find out what happens to them all! The only problem I have with the book is the fact that it says “Dr. Who” :/ As a Whovian, it’s essential that it’s spelt Doctor Who! :p

Wow, what an amazing story. Outstanding writing. I couldn’t put it down. The thirteenth series just keeps getting better and better and would highly recommend anyone to read all the books. Can’t wait for book five to see what sort of trouble Val and the gang get into next. Keep up the excellent work Georgia :) x

The Awakening is another fantastic book by the amazing Georgia Twynham. The awakening is filled with non stop action that leaves you on the edge of your seat. The new setting and characters add to the dynamic. There’s even a moment that will leave you shouting at the book. I can’t wait until book 5.

‘The Awakening’ is the fourth book in The Thirteenth series by G.L Twynham (Aka Georgia) and whilst it’s no huge epic blockbuster book such as The Hunger Games, it’s still fairly impressive. Within the first two chapters, I immediately noticed the difference in style. Whilst the other books take time to build up, this time round it’s pretty much instant and it does work. I’d be lying if I said that the style carries on throughout the whole of it as it does mellow out quite quickly but despite that, it was still interesting enough that I wanted to know what was going to happen and I wasn’t all that disappointed. Surprisingly enough, ‘The Awakening’ also kept me making up theories as to why stuff happens and I say surprisingly because it’s something I don’t exactly tend to do. If I had one other problem with the book it’s that some of the grammar is noticeable and yes,I do understand that it’s self published and there will be mistakes but other than that, it’s not that bad a read and I usually don’t go for sci fi. Definitely the best so far and worth at least having a look through.
